Unsubscribe Rate

Unsubscribe Rate, also known as the opt-out rate, is a marketing term that describes the percentage of subscribers who choose to no longer receive emails from an organization. This rate is calculated by dividing the total number of people who have opted out of receiving emails by the total number of email subscribers. It’s a valuable metric for businesses because it helps them determine how successful their email campaigns are.

When compared to other types of marketing metrics such as Click-Through Rate (CTR), Unsubscribe Rate offers a different perspective on how customers view communications from your business. CTR measures consumer engagement with your message and can help marketers understand what content resonates with customers. Unsubscribe Rate, on the other hand, is a measurement of customer satisfaction with your message and can help marketers determine if their communications are too frequent or are not relevant enough for customers’ needs.
